Strategies

• Build a database of facts about the educational experience of Black people in U.S. public and private schools and higher education institutions, based on their records, accounts and reports.
• Compile data from public records and published research to document the educational status and experience of African American peo­ple, as students, par­ents, and educators.
• Disseminate to African American parents and students and o policy makers of all ethnic groups the findings of research from scholarly journals and from our own analyses.
• Publicize and support exemplary education programs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate innovative education programs, based on research and culturally affirming practices.
• Create a pool of retired educators and others to provide academic support to students, parents, and professional educators.
